AIR Internships

Love animals? Love writing? Love learning? Looking for ways to combine all three?

Apply to become an Animal Issues Reporter intern.

In our internship program, Animal Issues Reporter’s professional editors and writers train a small number of participants. You’ll learn how to research and write balanced, well-structured articles about animals and their world.

Only a small number of interns can be accepted annually, and there is no pay, but if you are selected, you will receive topnotch, caring coaching for your writing skills. Your articles will be published on AnimalIssuesReporter.com, providing you with strong samples to show when you’re pitching your work elsewhere.

We consider writers of any age and educational and professional background. Location is not a problem; all AIR team member work from home offices. And remember that honesty really is the best policy. If you have no experience, don’t worry about telling us that. We value integrity, passion, and intelligence much more than an inflated resume.

To apply, please send the following information in the body of an email to [airinfo AT yahoo DOT com].

  • 500 words or less about why you would like to be an AnimalIssuesReporter.org intern
  • 250 words or less about your previous writing experience
  • 250 words or less about your academic and professional background
  • Three samples of your own writing on any topic, each 2,500 words or less, whether published or not

Thanks for your interest and good luck!
