VegangsterARNP, thanks for taking the time to read and comment. People have been raising and killing animals for millennia in just this way, but indeed the kindness vs. the ultimate slaughter seem to make it an odd relationship.

My goal was to see for myself how “home” slaughter is done, what it’s like for the animals, and pass on the information. I hope it’s of use. This is so fucking cruel and tragic that humans can inflict such pain on a baby goat. I find it inhumane and in no way a humane way to kill an animal. I’m so sad after reading this.

I hope this issue is brought up when councilmembers Feller, Fetien, and Kern run for re-election. I hope the voters of Oceanside take these councilmembers’ support of the puppy-mill industry into consideration when they vote.

Is it legal to picket a pet store that sells puppymill dogs? If it’s legal that’s what we should do. We don’t have to go inside the store; outside would be just as effective, if not more so. Plus, we need behavioral trainers at the shelters and rescues to work with the dogs and cats that end up there -to help them during this scary stage in their lives and ready them for adoption. We need also more foster homes for the rescues and shelters so that the dogs and cats hopefully will be ready for adoption sooner than if they were left in shelters and rescues.

Thanks Mahesh. I would agree that budget is not the only issue, aogulhth it is common, unfortunately, that companies fail to allocate enough resources to learning and adoption. Your point about people being overwhelmed with new tools is a great one, too, and I’d suggest that companies do need to think very carefully about the sequencing of new rollouts overall as well as the awareness building, training, and support for each individual new tool. We actually have several significant new tools being rolled out here at PTC in the coming months and the sequencing and coordination across these programs has been a big issue.
