Comment on A baby goat’s last day (Part 1): An idyllic life by admin https://www.animalissuesreporter.com/a-baby-goats-last-day-part-1-an-idyllic-life/#comment-410 admin Mon, 21 Apr 2014 22:51:35 +0000 http://www.animalissuesreporter.com/?p=859#comment-410 VegangsterARNP, thanks for taking the time to read and comment. People have been raising and killing animals for millennia in just this way, but indeed the kindness vs. the ultimate slaughter seem to make it an odd relationship.

Comment on A baby goat’s last day (Part 4): ‘How is he to blame?’ by admin https://www.animalissuesreporter.com/a-baby-goats-last-day-part-4-how-is-he-to-blame/#comment-408 admin Mon, 21 Apr 2014 22:41:55 +0000 http://www.animalissuesreporter.com/?p=903#comment-408 Natasha thanks so much for reading and for leaving the comment. I’m sorry to have made you sad. It has been difficult to research/write this series and I know that reading it is equally rough. My goal was to see for myself how “home” slaughter is done, what it’s like for the animals, and pass on the information. I hope it’s of use. Anyway thanks again for reading and taking the time to comment.

I find it inhumane and in no way a humane way to kill an animal. I’m so sad after reading this.

There is no humane anything in that sort of relationship

I hope the voters of Oceanside take these councilmembers’ support of the puppy-mill industry into consideration when they vote.

Comment on Council rejects ‘puppy mill’ law to ban retail sales of commercially bred dogs by Gigi Eckels https://www.animalissuesreporter.com/council-rejects-puppy-mill-law-to-ban-retail-sales-of-commercially-bred-dogs/#comment-244 Gigi Eckels Sat, 28 Sep 2013 03:01:26 +0000 http://www.animalissuesreporter.com/?p=675#comment-244 Is it legal to picket a pet store that sells puppymill dogs? If it’s legal that’s what we should do. We don’t have to go inside the store; outside would be just as effective, if not more so. Plus, we need behavioral trainers at the shelters and rescues to work with the dogs and cats that end up there -to help them during this scary stage in their lives and ready them for adoption. We need also more foster homes for the rescues and shelters so that the dogs and cats hopefully will be ready for adoption sooner than if they were left in shelters and rescues.

I would agree that budget is not the only issue, aogulhth it is common, unfortunately, that companies fail to allocate enough resources to learning and adoption. Your point about people being overwhelmed with new tools is a great one, too, and I’d suggest that companies do need to think very carefully about the sequencing of new rollouts overall as well as the awareness building, training, and support for each individual new tool. We actually have several significant new tools being rolled out here at PTC in the coming months and the sequencing and coordination across these programs has been a big issue.
